Boil Water Advisory - Update, Sept. 26th

Friday, September 26, 2025 - Blueberry School would like to provide the school community an update on the boil water advisory currently in effect at the school.

Since the last update, cleaning and chlorination of the school’s water system was completed during the weekend of September 20th under the direction of Alberta Health Services (AHS).

An elapsed period of time must follow this process before testing of the water can resume. AHS was onsite Friday, Sept. 26th) and will test again Monday, September 29th to collect follow-up samples. Results are expected by Wednesday, Oct. 1st.

The boil water advisory remains in place until AHS confirms the system is safe. In the meantime, staff and students are not using the school’s reverse osmosis (RO) fountains at this time.

Facilities Services continues to provide bottled water through large dispensers for safe drinking water, and we have extra hand sanitizer available throughout the school.

We are using the learning opportunity to remind students about general hand hygiene and thorough hand washing. Additionally, we have been encouraging students to use the extra hand sanitizer provided to the school.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work closely with AHS to resolve this matter. We will provide another update as soon as test results are available next week.
