Report an Absence

We have an absence alert system in operation at Blueberry School. Should your child be unable to attend school, please call or email to report the absence or late arrival.

If your child is absent or late, and you have not called or emailed, you will receive an automated phone and email message after attendance is taken at 9am and/or 1pm. As teachers may not always be able to check their email before taking attendance, please remember to email blueberry.absence@psd.ca in addition to your child's teacher when reporting your child absent or late, so that this information can be noted promptly.

We do not have adequate resources to care for sick children. Please arrange for sick children to recover at home.

Please submit your absence email prior to 8:30am on the day of the absence.

Please include the following information in the email:

Your child’s full name & class or teacher
When your child will be absent or late
The reason for the absence or late
When your child is expected to return to school

Telephone Absence Reporting

Call 780-963-3625 and press 1 to report an absence.
