Fire Alarm at Blueberry - Monday February 12th

Monday, February 12, 2024 - We just wanted to provide an update that led to a disruption Monday morning at Blueberry School. The Fire Department was dispatched to the school in response to a fire alarm at approximately 11:36 a.m. on Monday morning.

Fire protocols were enacted immediately and effectively to ensure the safety of all of our staff and students. Students left the building and went to their designated meeting area. Students returned to class and our day resumed about 15 minutes later. Please note, we are fortunate enough to be experiencing milder temperatures but Alberta weather can change quickly. Should an actual emergency and evacuation take place in colder temperatures, children need to be ready to leave on a moments notice and they may be outside with whatever they happen to be wearing at the time.
